Degrees of Reiki

There are 3 Degrees or levels of Reiki often called Reiki 1, Reiki 2, Reiki 3. We progress through these as we feel ready to.

The first degree includes an introduction to Reiki, its background and history. You are also shown the hand positions for a full body treatment of yourself and others. Your training and attunement will open you up as a channel for the Reiki energy. The emphasis at this Degree or Level is self healing and practice ,using the energies on friends and family. Ethical and legal considerations should also be a part of your learning at this Level.

The second degree introduces you to healing via distance and you are given the symbol which facilitates this. In addition you are given 2 further symbols to strengthen your Reiki channeling. There is a marked increase in the strength of the energies you can utilise. Ethical and legal considerations should also be reinforced as part of your learning at this Level

The third degree includes the Master attunement. Masters are shown a further 2 symbols. Over a period of time you will be supported by your Reiki Master and you will also be shown how to undertake the attunement process and to deliver training to others seeking to take the Reiki path. I personally see no reason for anyone to work towards Master Level unless they are fully committed to teaching. Development at this Level is always one to one.
